
Exhibiting artist / Ma Qiang

Ma Qiang, born in 1963 in Jiuquan, Gansu Province, is a researcher at the Dunhuang Research Academy and Director of the Academy’s Institute of Fine Arts. He serves as the Deputy Director of the Academic Committee and Director of the Art Committee at the Dunhuang Research Academy. He is a member of the China Artists Association; a member of the Art Education Committee of the China Artists Association; Director of the Mural Art Committee of the Gansu Artists Association; a visiting professor at the Mural Department, Central Academy of Fine Arts; an off-campus graduate advisor at Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology; an industry graduate advisor at Lanzhou University; and an off-campus graduate advisor at the School of Fine Arts, Northwest Normal University.
His Chinese painting Kangding Love Song has been collected by the National Art Museum of China, and his work Mogao After Snow received the Merit Award at the First National “Pilgrimage to Dunhuang” Art Exhibition organized by the China Artists Association. He has led the Gansu Province “Dunhuang Mineral-Color Youth Talent Training Program” and published more than ten academic papers.
